Staffordshire Creamware Liverpool Pitcher Insurgent and Constellation Ship Building and Infant Navy of America
Staffordshire Creamware Liverpool Pitcher with Ship Building scene, Insurgent flanking the American Frigate Constellation on the reverse with “Success to Infant Navy of America” in a cartouche under the spout. The transfer under the spout is a fairly scarce transfer that you don’t see that often. This piece displays well with a professional repair to the spout and a slightly older repair to the base. Still looks very good on a shelf. It measures 7 7/8” from the tip of the spout to the handle by 7 1/2” tall and dates circa 1800.
