Historical blue Staffordshire featuring the Landing of General Lafayette at Castle Garden in New York on August 16, 1824 on a bidet form. Bidet was made by James and Ralph Clews circa 1825 and features 2 three masted ships with flags at the left of Castle Garden are the "Robert Fulton and Chancellor Livingston." 6 cannons on the shore in the foreground are firing in salute. Piece measures 16" by 10 1/2" and has a great floral border. Bidet is in mint condition. Please inquire for full condition report.
