Staffordshire Creamware Creamer Liverpool U.S. Ship Capt. Edgerton LB2
Staffordshire Creamware Liverpool creamer with a polychrome U.S Ship “Hope” “Capt. Edgerton”. On the reverse is the captains wife’s name Catherine Edgerton. Being very scarce that in 40 years we only owned one other Liverpool creamer with a U.S. Ship and it very well could be this same one. A Liverpool plate with the same names was sold a few years back at a Northeast auction sale and brought $1300.00. This piece displays great with a small chip repair on the spout. It measures 7 1/4” from the tip of the spout to the handle by 4” tall and dates circa 1800.
